硫光下的成醛-發光二極體促進二硫縮醛合成之研究 Visible-Light Photoredox-Catalyzed Thioacetalization of Aldehydes Under Metal-Free and Solvent-Free Condition
Motivation : Disulfide compounds plays a significant role in pharmaceuticals and fluorescent dyes. However, the current synthesis approaches are rely on high cost and unsustainable metal catalyst and lewis acid.Finding a reaction that comply the green chemistry principle is a must.
Photocatalysis, frequently employed in green synthetic methods, is often used to catalyze radical reactions and is characterized by low cost and minimal pollution.
Overview : In this study, we attempted to utilize LEDs to induce photocatalyst Eosin Y to activate thioacetalization between aldehydes and thiols. Conducting methodological experiments, we identified optimal condition. By modifying the starting materials, we also found that this system tolerates a wide range of chemical group, achieving high yield regardless of electron-donating or electron-withdrawing groups.
