100038 NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF A CANSAT PICOSATELLITE ENERGY CONSUMPTION Russia
This paper describes the numerical analysis of a CanSat picosatellite energy consumption. Individual CanSat components power profiles were measured on a test bench. The power profiles data was used to develop a power consumption model for a flight control algorithm. The power consumption model was developed using Python coding and the model was used to simulate the CanSat flight. The simulation results were compared with the experimental power profile of a fully integrated CanSat running on the same flight control algorithm. The model’s data showed a high degree of accuracy to the experimentally obtained data and therefore can be used in battery capacity optimization.
